As someone who is born and raised in Nevada, the outdoors such as Red Rock is an escape. One of the only parts of town were you can still see the raw beauty of the desert.

I grew up in Las Vegas and loved exploring Red Rock. It’s a beautiful escape from the city. We don’t need to keep infringing on the desert landscape to accommodate people moving to Las Vegas. There are plenty of homes elsewhere in the city.

There is NO reason for housing development in or around Red Rock Canyon! There are plenty of other areas in the Las Vegas that could use a rebuild rather then destroy the beautiful nature of Red Rock that can be enjoyed by locals and tourists alike!

We need to keep these beautiful wild areas preserved. The houses have already gone far enough. The city needs to see and understand that Red Rock is not just some lot to build upon and destroy. This place is a treasure and a resource for the area. Every year it brings in millions of visitors and revenue. People come from all over the world to see, climb and hike in this beautiful area. In the long run keeping the area preserved will keep brining in people and revenue to the area. We in southern Nevada have the best backyard in the world (Red Rock) please don’t let greed destroy it.

Do not develop so close to red rock! Save some ecological integrity as the only corridor for Mojave wildlife through the Vegas valley will now have thousands of more vehicles to encounter. Have some integrity and stop this chaos!

Let's keep our natural wonders wild and free from development. Red Rocks are beautiful and unique! The whole area is precious for most of Las Vegas residents. We treat it as an escape from city life and a sanctuary.

I've lived here almost all of my life. I've gone to school here, worked here. I have so many memories of Red Rock that would be terribly tarnished if it was given up to developers. I climb in Red Rock I enjoy the solitude that is already on the verge of being lost to the tourism. If there is a full housing development out there Red Rock will lose part of it's appeal. It's one of the last untouched areas please just let it's beauty exist as it was intended to be, and untouched by developers. People don't need to experience Red Rock by waking up in the morning and looking out their bedroom window at it. If they want to experience Red Rock hike, cycle, or climb. That's how you will truly enjoy Red Rock
