Do we really NEED more unaffordable homes? No. But do we really NEED to cherish and protect open land and animal habitat? Resounding yes.

I want the Red Rock Canyon protected from ever having homes or businesses built there. There are thousands of other homes being built in Las Vegas where is the water coming from???? Enough is enough, restrict growth!!!

There are plenty of other areas to build homes, schools, etc. Why destroy Red Rock? Can we please keep a little bit of nature in our backyards? I'm appalled that this is even up for development.

As a Vegas local, Red Rock is a precious gem of the great local places in Vegas community. Allowing houses to be built there would destroy the pristine environment and also would impact the future quality of life we will offer to children growing up in Vegas.
I say this a Civil engineer who builds things for a living. Development is good but some places should be kept sacrilegious only to preserve the spirit of the City you live in. Red Rock is one such place.

Make the whole mountain part of Red Rock State Park. It would be the crowning jewel. The view from the top is unsurpassed.

Why, when we are just a few tipping degrees away from destroying the earth with no return do we continue to believe it is acceptable to invade and pollute the very few beautiful and natural places left. Why can't remain visitors to such fragile places we will inevitably contaminate with our presence and current way of unsustainable, resource sapping life. What for? Population inflation? Greed...well, what is greed and money going to mean to anyone when the earth is no longer inhabitable. Are you going to use 'all' that plastic-y, paper stuff to buy your trip to space, to do the same thing again?... infect and destroy, because we clearly dont learn from our wrongs. I thought we were supreme intellects, clearly we are, but with missing ingredients like compassion, care and love for mother earth who birthed us all and instead we have additives like greed, power, hate that make almost everyone ill. Change change change. Save earth, save humanity. Be the humans we can be. We are the power of the people and community not its artificial wealth.

Vegas is an incredible place because you can have various experiences in minutes: stop, suburbia, and rural. This is important to the diversity that our community loves.
