As the public event coordinator for the Las Vegas Astronomical Society, I help plan free events for the public to view through the telescopes of our member volunteers out at Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center and Spring Moutain Ranch State Park. I don't see how we can put 5,000 homes up on that hill and maintain the dark skies out there.

It is absurd that this is even up for dicussion. Don't destroy the only part of Las Vegas that's still beautiful! Stop the greed!

This is outrageous! We already have to many people here and too many problems. That aside this proposal for building these new homes is ridiculous. Especially since it would be destroying the land to do so.

I've enjoyed climbing and hiking at Red Rock and it's an incredibly special place that brings many to the Las Vegas area and is critical to protect to inspire many future visitors.

I come to Vegas annually with my family. Pass this housing development after refusing to listen to the public and I will not spend another dime in Vegas and tell everyone I can to do the same.

I strongly OPPOSE to change the current zoning of Red Rock to allow housing and commercial buildings. This county must learn to appreciate nature and respect it instead of wanting to destroy it due to greed.

I visit Las Vegas every year with friends to both enjoy Vegas nightlife AND the beauty of RRC (we are climbers). If I see a development of this scope out there I can assure you we will go spend our vacation $$ elsewhere....
