Having grown up in Las Vegas from 1954 onwards, Red Rock was a pristine natural wonder which I beseech you to protect for future generations.

Enough with this, already. The land was always meant to be protected, and over the years, it has been chipped away. I thought we were proud to have a place like this? Do not let it be ruined for profit.

I love this scenic part of the valley so close to my home. I show it off proudly to friends and family who visit LV from out of town and abroad. A few times a year, the Las Vegas Astronomical Society, of which I am a member, meets at Red Rock to watch the stars. I am also an annual pass-holder of the conservation area. Please please please do not destroy this small area of such breathtaking beauty by bringing development in and around it. Save it for generations of tourists, hikers, star-gazers and just for its scenic beauty!

My wife and I are both 45 and Vegas natives. This tow has grown too far into the outlying areas in every direction. But to ruin such a beautiful natural part of this valley with another housing subdivision, a sea of stucco and Spanish tile, paint your door a different color so you know where you live. I don't think so. I have been looking at that amazing mountain every day of my life and go there frequently. To build any closer than we already have would be an absolute travesty. I usually don't get too involved in things like this but I'll fight this to the very end!

Red Rock must be protected. It is a beautiful oasis within minutes of the Strip.
