Red rock is a gorgeous view, there's much more desert to build houses on

My family frequents the Red Rock area frequently to get away from the city lights and observe the stars. Transforming the area to a residential zone will no longer preserve this natural asset to the community.

I'm not sure if I've already signed, but I'm doing it all the same. Red Rock is a natural resource that attracts artists, outdoorsmen, and tourists from all over the world. It isnt the reason I moved to Las Vegas, but it is the reason I stayed. Its natural beauty and wonder is of continual artistic inspiration to me-it is rugged, unbridled, independent. When the city gets too much for me, I'm free here. The silence, the winds, the unpunctured darkness of the canyon at night. I urged you not to let the city destroy the canyon. Once this canyon is scarred beyond repair by a major housing development, it will not be undone. It will cause more trash and more destruction of the natural environment. Further, it will shatter the solitude one can find in the canyon. The great outdoors seem to be on the verge of becoming the great porch step. Please, keep red rock rural. It is a nearby retreat from the craziness of the city, and without it, much of Las Vegas would surely go mad.

This would be horrible! The lights of Vegas already taint the natural beauty at night! No more

Please reconsider your choice to use the Red Rock area for residential purposes. There is enough desert out there for them to pick from without impeding upon such a glorious View. This is our heritage, please do not allow money to influence your vote. This is a place of the people, all people. Do not turn it into a Haven for the rich.

Red Rock Canyon is one of the most spectacular outdoors areas in the country. The areas unique lack of development so close to the valley is one of its most appealing aspects. We must keep it that way!

Please keep Red Rocks special and do not allow developers to crowd it with buildings. It might seem like a good idea to some, but once those buildings go up they will forever pollute the area. Even thousands of years after we're gone!
