Rhodes should be able to develop with low density housing to maintain a rural nature and in keeping with the framework of how the land was zoned when initially purchased. A vote to change to high density not only alters the rural aspect but also has potentially much more impact on the area in many ways. I don't think it is right that a vote to change from low to high density also "gifts" the land owner much more valuable land from the commissioners. Now the land would also be more desirable to possibly sell to another developer. The Red Rock National Conservation Area is a place to recreate and rejuvenate in nature outside of an urban environment. Let people come to Red Rock to appreciate leaving the confines of a city rather than bringing the city to Red Rock.

I have lived in las vegas for 14 years. I cannot imagine Las Vegas without red rock being protected and used for the thousands of mountain bikers, road cyclists, and runners. Not to mention horse back riding, shooting range, etc. This is a place where locals and tourists can get away into nature. It gives Las Vegas depth. SAVE RED ROCK!

Las Vegas does not need to build more housing developments. Keep Red Rock out of it. There's not a lot of beautiful things left in Las Vegas and this is one of the most beautiful.

As a frequent visitor to red rock who brings my tourist dollars to the Las Vegas are every time, I would be horrified to see development encroach on this natural wonder. I would also be much less inclined to visit Nevada. Red Rocks is a gem and should be preserved for the people.
