I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. Red Rock Canyon was a place where I could feel at peace and distanced from the chaos of the city. It disgusts me to imagine that anyone would want to erase or urbanize that sanctuary.

Red Rock is a beautiful place for people to get fresh air and enjoy a lovely view. We can't ruin it by building entertainment and business centers when they are already built. I personally love Red Rock and unnecessary centers cannot replace it.

I used to live in Vegas. Red Rock Canyon is very near and dear to my heart. I took my senior pictures there, I went hiking there multiple times. It was a place I could go to clear my head and get away from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas. We as humans have already ruined so many beautiful areas in the world, Red Rock doesn't need to be another place we destroy.

The red rock geological formation is a beautiful feature that should be admired and learned about instead of being built on. The sandstone is sensitive to rain but despite that has still remained to this day. Keep nature untouched!

As a college student studying conservation biology for terrestrial and marine environments, I find the building of houses next to or near a conservation site extremely disturbing. Think about all the wildlife that will be harmed due to 10,000+ individuals moving into those houses.
