This blog is by an experienced and educated martial arts instructor. It provides invaluable first-line historical records, modern analyses of problems, and many other scholarly thingamajigs.
Those wanting the site down are offended that the knowledge presented here shows they are less than they claim.

Aside from his research into the martial arts, what happened to freedom of speech?
If it's not inciting violence then what's the problem?

The research on this blog is at least equal to, and in many cases better than, those found in most leading martial art magazines and journals.

Martial arts is a sport as well as self defense training. It instills confidence and discipline and teach you to think and see things from a different perspective. There is no reason there shouldn't be places that there can be information and exchanges about these pursuits so that people in all walks of life can learn about themselves and different arts.

David Ross and his articles are well researched and scholarly on the subject of traditional KUNG Fu. I have my masters degree in sports medicine and am used to research. I independently validate a lot of his research. He is an asset to the tcma community

Dear Sir/Ma'am,
This blog represents free enquiry and a healthy perspective on martial arts. There are plenty of people in our community who week in week out are ripping people off with the promise of skills for which there is no evidence that anyone has ever mastered. David Ross is not a master in my own lineage of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts, however I havfollower of his blog, fellow nember of that international community, and owner of his books, I, as a 7th Generation Mizongquan Heir and 13th Generation Qingpingjian heir state for the record that I consider David to be a credit to his Shifu, and to TCMA in general. His detractors can only be persons with a private personal vendetta or persons whose business interests lie in fraudulent claims of supernatural abilities who embarrass traditional martial artists.

What David Ross writes is sorely needed these days. Meaning an objective view at what is and is not truth. I have enjoyed his writings from time to time in my tenure on the internet. It would be a shame is such things are pushed away in favor of the rantings of those less informed.

This blog contains valuable material and insights into the martial arts, eastern history and philosophy. It should not be interfered with. Besides I thought first amendment rights included cyberspace for Americans.
