I deal with this in Sheldon and it is complete crap. The ignorance is real in these small towns. My American pit Gotti is the biggest baby but bc he is just that, a pit, they want me to muzzle him when outside, and the list goes on. So you want me to make my completely harmless dog look vicious? I don't think so. I will not do that to my dog. We did what we had to to keep him though. Jumped through all the hoops even though we shouldn't have to. Just so we could keep our family member. I hope one day they won't be discriminated against.

Maybe you should move if u don’t like it.
I don’t know the story of what’s happening but if it was my dog regardless if u have money or not you would not touch my dog or try to take it away and if you yelled at my child you would need serious help!!

Nobody should have to give up their dog that hasn't done anything wrong. They are a sweet and carrying breed and used to actually be called the nurse dog for how caring and loving they were towards children. The only reason people think their violent is because of the people who abuse them for fighting rings, but this dog is not violent and has not done anything wrong. These dogs are some of the sweetest and forgiving dog breed out there and you would be evil to destroy their spirit just because of some jerks fear of the dog. I will be very disappointed in the town if they choose to move forward with this motion. Shame on you Boyden for even wanting to do this, shame on you.

Dogs called “Pit Bulls” are lumped from several general categories. They are no more dangerous than any other dog. It is NOT the breed, it is the owner. Don’t punish responsible dog owners and a “generic” breed name because of the actions of irresponsible people. I have worked with hundreds of dogs and Patties are some of the sweetest, most loving, dogs I have encountered. Policies that prevent certain breeds from living in towns are ill-informed and discriminatorily based on myth, not fact.

Dogs are not born viscous.
They learn it from ignorant people. I have plenty of friends with pits or pit mixes. They are responsible owners and their dogs reflect it. Judging a dog by it's breed is as ignorant as judging a person by their skin..

Everybody should be entitled to their choice of dog as long as they're not deemed aggressive by the way they were raised. I have a pet she is afraid of fireworks thunder rain and sleeps under the covers with us biggest baby in the world wouldn't hurt a fly.

these dogs are not harmful . Most of them r the most loving dogs you can find. No dog should be discriminated against by breed ... do u not allow chihuahuas because they're mean dogs usually but do u allow them ??
