Just like many of the NCAA backed athletics on the Division 1 level, their Club counterparts are very much necessary. The Clubs provide a VERY ritual rich environment as well as providing an immense source of comrodary. To cut away the Club team, the cornerstone of the sport for the school will be lost as well. Not only will it have campus life implications, you would also be doing the division 1 level a discredit. By eliminating the club team you lose the chance to have your club team compete against it's sister team on the d1 level to help both teams practice, share ideas, and potentially preventing a professional type situation where you may use the club team as a feeder team to the varsity team if needed and players are eligible, and skilled enough. To take away a club team, would be very similar to take away one of the many core values Sacred Heart shares with it's students.

The Queens of heart are great for the sport of rugby and have been one of the most successful SHU sports teams ever (especially in recent years). They were just named a Division 1 Varsity Sport, it would be a slap in the face to all of the Queens who put such hard work and time into this achievement. Rugby is a sport with growing support in which the participants literally bleed for their school and teammates, it's astounding that cutting the Queens of Heart is even being considered.

Sports and clubs teams are too important to cut. Students need a way to express and let loose. Don't cut this program!
