Hi Erlinda,
It's not being considered a community because it is not an official community with the City of Calgary.
It is considered a development and there are no current plans to make it an official community.
That is why we started this petition - as a first step to show City Council and the Calgary Real Estate Board there is a community interested in seeing this happen.

I have lived in Riverbend for the last 20 years. Quarry Park has been a great addition to the area giving it new life. Long live QP!

Quarry Park is, and ought to be considered as its own community. It has a distinct built form and character that is unique from adjacent neighbourhoods such as Douglas Glen and Riverbend.

My wife and me bought in Quarry Park. If we wanted Douglas Dale or River Bend we would have paid less and bought there. We have signs that say Quarry Park so don't change our community "area" name I want to live in Quarry Park

We are extraordinarily different as a live/work/play community from either Riverbend or Douglasdale. The distinction is important.
