What a great recreational area for all citizens to enjoy and voted this year the #1 Trail system in the County. Thanks to the many volunteers from the Fallbrook Trails Council who have worked, with the permission from the Fallbrook Utility District, to maintain these wonderful trails for all to enjoy.

I have ridden the Santa Margarita trails for 48 years. Way before they gained the popularity they now have. So glad everyone is working to keep them open.

THREE GENERATIONS OF MY FAMILY CURRENTLY RIDE OUR HORSES AT THE SMR TRAILS AND HAVE DONE SO FOR YEARS. I AM ALSO THE CLUB PRESIDENT OF THE TEMECULA EQ-WINE RIDERS, A LOCAL TRAIL RIDING GROUP, WHOSE MEMBERS CALL SMR OUR MOST FAVORITE PLACE TO RIDE! THE CLUB HAS CONTRIBUTED RESOURCES OF LABOR AND FINANCES TO THE FTC OVER THE YEARS TO ASSIST WITH MAINTENENCE OF THE TRAILS. PLEASE KEEP THIS "JEWEL OF FALLBROOK" OPEN FOR MULTI-USE, NON-MOTORIZED, EQUESTRIANS AND NATURE LOVERS LIKE MYSELF TO ENJOY! ONE OF MY FAVORITE SMR RIDES WAS WHEN WE ENCOUNTERED OUR DAUGHTER'S 5TH GRADE TEACHER HIKING THERE WITH HER FAMILY AND SHE GOT TO MEET THE HORSES. MY 10 YR OLD WAS SO PROUD! ITS NOT EASY RAISING KIDS TO APPRECIATE MOTHER NATURE IN A WORLD FULL OF TECHNOLOGY AND INSTANT GRATIFICATION, THIS TRAIL SYSTEM HAS TRULY HELPED OUR FAMILY TO PASS ALONG OUR LOVE FOR NATURE TO OUR CHILDREN. SMR TRAILS ARE SO WORTH THE FIGHT AND EFFORT TO PRESERVE! RESPECTFULLY, JUANITA KOTH

As a recent visitor to the area, I spent a wonderful day trail riding at Santa Margarita River. It would be a real loss to your residents as well as your tourism to no longer have access to this beautiful trail system.

I have been riding my horses on these trails for over 40 years. These accessible trails are what makes Fallbrook wonderful. Please ensure that the trails will remain available to riders and walkers.

I have ridden in that valley since I was a child and my children have enjoyed the trails as well. It is a well used and loved destination for not only Fallbrook residents but those from surrounding areas also come to enjoy the beauty and the trails. It would be a shame if we lost this peace of recreation here in our town. Please don't let this happen.

The Santa Margarita River Valley trail system needs to become a legal easement for non-motorized public use.

I have ridden this trail for many years. In fact, it's my favorite place to ride in Southern California. It makes my heart hurt to think we may not be allowed to continue to enjoy the trail we've used for so many years. I'm not alone when I say that It's one of my greatest pleasures. Please, please do not take it away!

it would wreck the life's of so many people who use these trails with their horses daily.
