NY State has the stupidest rules when it comes to professional wrestling. Pro wrestling is a mix between Broadway theatrics, gymnastics, and (technically) dance choreography. The New York State Athletic Commission is a JOKE! For them to PRETEND to regulate professional wrestling, is a WASTE OF TIME and NY TAX PAYER MONEY! STOP RUINING the fun and entertainment value of pro wrestling and let the guys breath and be creative. They know the risks they are taking and they sign the wavers. Quit being "the parents" who know "what's good" for everyone involved!

Independent wrestling in New York has been a staple for as long as I can remember. These new rules are ridiculous. Another right of ours should not be taken away. Keep the regulations as is and deal with specific offenders accordingly.

Due to the inability of the NYSAC to differentiate between an entertainment product and real shoot fighting such as MMA, these ridiculous new rules make it impossible for smaller promotions to run shows with having to pay an exorbitant amount of money; most of which they will not be able to make back without raising ticket/gate prices to ridiculous levels. This is a disservice not only to the promoters but also to the wrestlers (both local and out of state) who will find less places to work and ply their craft and the fans who will be cheated out of a great source of afforrdable memory making entertainment.
