These new rules are gonna make it almost impossible for promoters to put on a wrestling show when they have to spend money on ambulance rental, insurance, when they could use this money to hire and pay talent. The cost to rent venues is already at a all time high in new York. As far as telling wrestlers they can't be a " heel" and interact as one towards the fans is ridiculous this is part of the show and what makes it fun.

The Mommy State strikes again! The new regulations will make it impossible for smaller promotions to get their feet off the ground and close many existing promotions. Since Pro Wrestling is theater it shouldn't fall under the jurisdiction of the athletic commission anyway. This is a clear cash grab from NY State!

Stop this over regulation of small business owners and independent contractors. The tourism dollars brought in from Boston, Philidelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, and other areas of the country from fans of these companies will have an economic impact on hotels, eateries, and shopping in areas that don't traditionally have tourist traffic in the NYC Burroughs.

While these regulations will keep some of the worst people in the business from performing and soiling independent wrestling, it'll keep 10 times as many good performers from being able to ply their craft. These rules are BS.
