Out of the multiple schools one of my children has been in, due to my military service, neither my wife nor I have ever experienced a more professional and genuinely caring principle.
The unilateral decision by Mr. Dean to reassign Mrs. Duck to the District Alternative Education Program, after previously stating her contract would not be renewed, appears as an effort to remove an individual with a flawless record who is unwilling to measure success based on political power gain.
Community discussions have also brought to my attention Mr. Dean and other Board members' desire to abolish the Fine Arts Magnet designation from Wise Elementary. Many parents of children attending Wise Fine Arts Magnet Elementary applied for their children to attend Wise on the basis of the Fine Arts Magnet designation. Mrs. Duck, Wise faculty, and parents are adamant about maintaining the Magnet designation for the school.
The children leaving our elementary schools carries on into our middle school, the high-school, and later into our community. The educational and integrity laden foundation Mrs. Duck lives by, is reflected in the teachers and our children.
If you feel your questions are going unanswered, and your concerns unaddressed, speak up.

Abigail and Landon have done nothing but improve academically at Wise. This is a reflection of the leadership in the school.

Taking Mrs. Duck away from our children is wrong. Our school district needs more principals and educators like her, someone who will fight to help our kids thrive and succeed.
