Going to Preston from 1980-1984 have been some of the best years of my life. My 2 sisters & my sister in law & I all graduated from this wonderful school. It was like a 2nd home to all of us and there needs to be a great HS in the Throggs Neck area of the Bronx. Also, for all the young girls that are currently there and who are already accepted to Preston in the Fall of 2025, and r hey will all have to go elsewhere. I think fundraisers could help keep the school opened & I think getting girls from other parts of the city would be great as well. Please keep Preston opened!!!

This school shaped so many of my family and friends. Devastating to have it ripped out from the community with 3 months notice. What about the teachers? The current students? It’s passed the window to apply and get into similar private schools. Have we no loyalty to the communities we serve? Devastating

Giving students less than a year to figure out their school is shutting down is a poor choice from the board that the students will pay the consequences for.

Preston has been an amazing institution for young ladies who want to propel forward into careers that they may never have imagined. Why close doors now for our girls, especially in this current climate? This is quite disturbing and disappointing! Surely we can find ways to keep this institution open!

My full academic scholarship was pulled out from me in one night and my second choice and third have no interest or finances to help public schools need the SHSAT test in which I’m late for . What should I do in this situation? 99 percentile in 400 students Tachs result first honors student all of my school life and we still haven’t heard anything other than friends and family that attend the school filling in the gaps. Imagine being a student who already registered already selected already qualified. It’s not a nice feeling .

So sad to see this happen. Preston was so important to my daughter’s development and success in life and in so many other ladies.

We need to consider other options. From my understanding enrollment has been up.
