Dedicated students and parents shouldn't have to suffer due to other people's greed and lack of compassion.

Can’t suddenly close like this, disrupting the lives and plans of the current and rising girls who have already decided to attend Preston this coming fall…. Reach out to alumnae past students to raise funds, tell Preston alum JLo to step up and send a check;
Not a good situation, one that should be avoided.

I am an alumna of Preston High School, (Class of 2014), and I am heartbroken to hear that it is shutting down. The 4 years I had at Preston will always be special to me, and I am so grateful for my time there and my memories. I think it is Highly unfair to shut this school down. The world needs schools. And it especially needs schools like Preston, where Compassion was always at the forefront. Getting rid of this will be a huge loss for the Bronx and its community. It will be a HUGE loss for the girls who are currently attending, as well as a huge loss for the girls who will attend in the future. I may not be enrolled in high school anymore, but it will definitely be a huge loss for me. I beg those in charge to reconsider and think about what you are actually doing, and what this will all mean. Please reconsider. Think about all of the excellency Preston High School has accomplished and will continue to accomplish, should you allow the school to go on and thrive. Thank you.

STOP THIS TERRIBLE INJUSTICE TO THE STUDENTS WHO HAVE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO GRADUATING IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS. At least let the students who are Juniors see this through! I know this is a tough decision to make and not one that anyone wants to make for any other reason that lack of support or resources but please let these kids graduate! God bless!

The school is amazing, the children are safe, well educated and free like the school is home away from home
