Everyone deserves to finish out their senior year at a place familiar to them like home. Keep this institution alive and not fall victim to greed and monetary offers.

My sister, and cousins went here! To see the school closing down because of greed is an abomination to the schools mission, and the teachings / beliefs that institutions like these were founded on. Shame on the sisters… They are dogs with mighty appetites; they never have enough" (Isaiah 56:11)

This school was a vital part of my sister's educational journey in Throgs Neck. It is a shame that this institution is at risk.

I am an alumna of St. Catherine Academy, but I support keeping Preston open because Catholic education has been foundational to me and to countless other girls growing up in the Bronx. Catholic education which is rapidly disappearing. What our communities get in its place is "development" that caters to unremitting greed rather than to the character and best interests of the neighborhood. The Bronx needs excellent Catholic schools like Preston to continue providing an alternative to public and charter schools for those who want their children educated in the Catholic tradition.
