Preston provided the a strong foundation for my pharmacy school studies at St John's University. I have been a pharmacist for 33 years. It is imperative that young women have a strong academic school in Throggs Neck. We love our school, and we know its potential to provide a stellar education for many years to come. The culture is already is place, as evidenced in current Preston students, and alumni. We are all jumping up and down to keep Preston open, because we know the net loss would be tremendous. It started as God's mission for those in need, let it not end with people's greed.

There are a number of renowned all-boys high schools in and around NYC which are preparing our young men to lead with both academic excellence and a moral compass. Preston is preparing young women to stand alongside our boys to do the same. I urge the Sisters of Compassion to recognize the long-term implications of their decision and to wield their power with humility.

My granddaughter, Olivia Tucci, is currently a sophomore, we are all devastated by what’s happening with Preston !! Have Preston stay open at least for 3 years and let the girls complete there high school education. My daughter graduated from Preston in the 90’s
with a wonderful education.
Keep Preston open and have compassion!!

I hope we're not giving up. We need to do everything possible to keep Preston open. I graduated in 1961 and still think of it as the most important part of my education, even more than college and graduate school. I would be devastated if it were to close! Pam '61

I couldn't have asked for a better education than the one I received at Preston High School. I pray that there will be generations of young ladies to come that can say the same.

I remember my daughter going to Preston for extra help. It’s such a beautiful high school. She also went there for the camp. There is a tragedy that this school is closing.
