We need to open more schools, not close schools. We cannot overcrowd our classes. Kids don’t learn the right education when the classes are too overcrowded.

Preston had a huge impact on my life. It helped mold me into who I am today and paved the path for my future. The education that I received there was truly second to none. I would like Preston High School to remain open. It is an excellent school that has served the Bronx community for years.

We deserve to be informed about how this has come about and what efforts were put into addressing the situation and who knew what and when and why are we just being informed!!!

As an alum of Preston, I agree wholeheartedly with this petition! I am ready and able to provide whatever support I am able to help keep PHS open for many more years to come. Preston taught us about dignity, honor, respect, and compassion; but it also taught us that we could accomplish anything we set our minds to, especially as a community. Let us prove that once again, we are a community of women capable of overcoming whatever challenges we face, together.

One of the best & brighest young women I know graduated from this school. It has a rich history & would be a shame if the doors closed.

I am devastated to hear this news. We are alumni family. I graduated Class of’67, my daughter Class of ‘07 and my granddaughter would have been Class of ‘28. I cannot believe the Sisters of the Divine Compassion think this is a way to treat the young women in their care. I hope something can reverse this terrible decision.

Greed rearing it's ugly head again. The board of trustees should be ashamed of themselves. Sisters of divine compassion, but zero compassion for all of these families .
