As an alum and a parent of an alum -closing this school is a tragedy The sisters are thinking of themselves and not the future generations- it’s a shame and a tragedy that the sisters have lost their soul heart and compassion to greed the modern day Judas

We cannot keep closing schools. Our sisters are important to us and need to continue to obtain the necessary education for learning and development.

Beautifully expressed letter stating the impact of Preston on her students, past and present, our Bronx community and the significance of implementing the mission of the Sisters of Compassion on all these young people, no matter their background - and maybe most importantly, the ability of the author/student of the letter as an example of excellence at this institution.

My daughters and myself are devastated. Upcoming senior (2025-26), we school be looking into colleges, not high schools. And another daughter upcoming freshman. Turned down other high schools, for Preston and paid registration for next year. Very unfair!

Preston has shaped me and other woman with integrity and compassion. What the sisters are doing is not compassionate at all. Preston is not doing badly, they’re actually doing better than most Catholic schools in the Bronx. Preston prepared me for college and for life in general!

I go here and I’m not about to transfer into one of my hardest years to a completely different school. The teachers love it here and they don’t deserve to see their lovers be students future crumble.
