SAVE PRESTON HIGH SCHOOL!

The most beautiful, kindest & intelligent woman I know went here for high school along with a lot of other amazing women. Shame that they want to close so sudden.

It would be a shame to close such a wonderful school that is helping you g girls and the community.

You have broken my daughter’s heart with your decision to close her school. It is shameful that they would make such a decision without advanced warning. 4 months is not an adequate amount of time to restructure my child’s life. On top of which my daughter will lose her scholarship that she justly earned. Now you have brought a hardship onto my family which makes me lose faith in the archdiocese.

Please keep the school open for the girls! It is a great school! My daughter went there and was ready for college when she graduated.

I am a graduate and my niece is currently enrolled. Please allow her to finish her high school years there where she can graduate with the classmates who she has already bonded with since freshman year.

This is a devastation to our community and for all the children that are to graduate.

This action to take the money and run for your own edification goes against the teachings of Preston. It truly is a sad day!

As a teacher myself wh have had so many of our girls from our elementary school go on to Preston. It would be a shame not to give future students the same opportunity. Praying for a positive solution.

Please Do NOT close Preston

I’ve been blessed to be a part of Preston for almost 30 years and thought I would continue until the day I decide to put down my red pen! It is a very special place in so many ways. Within these walls beats the heart of a wonderful, diverse, brilliant community. Stripping it away is the most selfish act thar flies in the face of the very idea of compassion itself.

I just hope they’ll be aight in September..

Keep Preston Open! We need our schools!

Save this beautiful school! I graduated in 1998 we need this school more then ever.

Preston should be kept there doors open as it is one of the school’s in the Bronx that offers a good education to young lady’s. People that own the school should but the girls education before their wish for a luxury retirement lifestyle. As nuns they must recall that they signed up to put other people’s needs before their own. In closing the school they are acting out of selfishness and denouncing on the vows they made. Nuns have vow to give up Poverty which is a vow to renounce material possessions they have promise to be Obedient which is a vow to follow Christ's will. Renouncing material possessions would mean they will keep Preston as a school versus selling it to the biggest bidder. They would follow Christ and would give these young ladies a place where they could feel safe and learn more about Christ.

The closing of Preston High School will not only terminate many jobs of staff but also leave the future of up and coming adults without a clear sight of plan. Preston had provided many students with a chance to make America great as it’s one of the best catholic school in New York , as many great successors have come out of Preston, with the school shutting down there’s no clear path on what these students will end up choosing or deciding to do for they’re future wellbeing and also the future of the coming adults of America. The closing of a school may not seem like a big deal but this affects not only the students but also the community, the staff, the economy ( for the lack of money for the lower class of people who depended on Preston for income ) and future jobs.
