Please do everything possible to keep Preston open. It is educating a new generation of terrific young women to go on to be an integral part of our community and country.

It’s a disgrace that 3 nuns who have final decision on the schools fate won’t let the school buy the property . They were blocked from fund raising and not even given a chance to! That tells me there’s a shady backroom deal going on with a developer offering exuberant money . Stop the zoning and see what what happens then . And as for the archdiocese saying there being neutral just means there apart of the shady deal cause if they didn’t have anything to do with the decision why don’t they stick up for there parishioners and help the community

Preston is more than an academic institution. It should be made a landmark for the legacy it holds dear to the community.. Please understand the impact it has made for so many and continues to inspire others . I pray that it remains in the community and continues to flourish.

There should be no reason Preston High School should close! This is a school that molds a girl to be an independent, brilliant, capable, respectable women of society. Graduates move on to do inspirational work. We have a great understanding of what a community needs to be strong and grow with team work. This school is an asset to the bronx!

After graduating 30 years ago (this year), I returned to PHS and worked for Sr. Lucille Coldrick for six years. The biggest impact I saw Preston have on us girls throughout that time was the empowerment to have a voice, to think outside the box, and the confidence to contribute to something bigger than ourselves. These skills shaped and me into the woman I have become. Susan Casario gave me the best advice I’ve ever received 10 times over and the faculty & staff, sisters, and fellow Prestonites became part of my extended family. It is not just a school, it is a movement! God bless Preston forever.

Please keep this legendary institution open. It serves as a safe, academic haven for young girls in the Bronx. We cannot afford to lose it.
