Due to public sector cuts, there has been a fire cover review within south wales fire and rescue service in order to look at the where about of our fire stations and fire engines in the South wales area. A proposal has now gone out to get rid of a fire engine at the Pontypridd Station, leaving the whole of Pontypridd with one fire engine to cover... this area. Obviously there's other engines in other areas, but they are in their own areas covering their own patches. We now have a consultation period until late may/june to get your views, thoughts and messages together and provide them to the fire authority. Please help us spread the word and have your say.
