The USTA should not have the power to kick Durham residents out of the tennis courts they paid for with taxes

There is a large group of aboutfifty or more Durham Tennis enthusiasts who have been playing pick up tennis every weekend at Southern Boundariesfor decades.Its their home court.Everyone is welcome. All ages and all levels of play.

This spring and likely this summerthe Durham Parks and Recreation department has allowed the USTA to push this groupout of playing at Southern Boundaries.

Other courts were offered to this group however this change is a big inconvenience for a large percentage of players. Many players are not aware of this major change and its likely the group would dissolve since mostare not aware of the changes and expect to get a pickupmatch at SB.

Our position is that that the USTA should either move or change the timing of play until after 2:00 PM on weekends or play during the week.

I support the Durham Parks and Recreation Department moving the USTA leagues that play regularly at SB on the weekends and useSB as their home court.
