We appeal to An Bord Pleanála to allow our cat rescue centre to go ahead at the Hidden Haven, 291a Richmond Road, Dublin 3. The Hidden Haven is an ugly, neglected scrap of land & run down buildings tucked away in a socially disadvantaged area of Dublin. The site has been sitting unused for 10 years. We have signed a lease with the site's landlord to transform it into a vibrant, welcoming space to home our visitor centre, administration headquarters, storage & distribution centre (for food & equipment), educational events, low cost microchipping sessions, & emergency accommodation for rescued cats & kittens while we arrange veterinary treatment & foster/ forever homes.

There are huge numbers of homeless cats & kittens in Dublin & we are actively working to reduce these numbers, & all the associated suffering, through our humane Trap, Neuter, Return programmes & rehoming work.

We are a no-kill rescue (registered charity no 20105297) & this centre is of paramount importance if we are to continue our very successful work. Local vets will confirm they have seen a dramatic reduction in the number of stray cats being handed into them, often in an appalling condition, since we started helping homeless, stray, & feral cats & kittens.

Dublin City Council has declined planning permission for our cat rescue centre, which will effectively close Phibsboro Cat Rescue, & we are appealing this decision.

This petition will close at midnight, Friday 12th May so we can meet the legal deadline for submitting our appeal.
