Took me a. Hour to dry a 7ao st poodle, I had 2 of them. It's Wednesday and I have over and hour of over time! I can't afford to take less dogs but if it doesn't get better I'll be forced to. And if I comes down to loosing dogs I'll go find and easier job. No sense working my ass off for crap money when I could sit on my ass and earn the same

PLEASE allow us to use the cones--I heard this whole thing started because an EMPLOYEE complained of hearing damage, but don't punish the rest of us because one person doesn't know how to use earplugs. The cone is an essential, efficient, and safe way to blow out curly coats as well as thick, dense, doublecoated dogs. There are some dogs I groom that already take several hours straight-through WITH the cone: without it I could spend an entire day on just that dog and still not have the dog dry. Does PetSmart expect me to start grooming one dog/day? Does PetSmart expect me to start grooming damp dogs, producing subpar grooms (dangerously), and causing more wear and tear on my tools that already cost more than $600/year to maintain? Not to mention, if they double--and triple--our drying times, without giving us twice--or three times--as many dryers, how do they expect an entire salon to bear the burden? Who has dryer priority? Upholding this "ban" on our nozzles WILL result in a mass exodus of groomers...

The nozzle which accompanies our velocity dryer is a crucial tool to our job (bather/groomer). It helps us do our job to the highest standards. Please rethink your decision.

Having the nozzles gets our job done faster as well as we know of its too much for a pet and can remove it when needed

To whom it may concern,
I am a groomer at Petsmart and I urge you to take another look at the new dryer nozzle policy. As a groomer this new rule makes it much harder to groom certain dogs. While I care greatly about the well being of each dog I feel that the cone nozzle still has a place in our salons in certain situations, such as large dogs, especially large double coated dogs. As far as power levels I feel that it would not be damaging for medium to large dogs to be dried on medium to high, without the cone nozzle. Each dog is different and I would adjust the drying procedure as necessary in the best interests of the dog. Please think twice about the new policy. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Andrea Landles

I totally agree with NEEDING a velocity dryer/nozzle for most coats to be properly prepared for the hair cut. Also, the new "nozzles" being sent to PetSmarts' all over aren't meant to be used as a nozzle at all. They are connector pieces for the hoses, meant for connecting two sections of hose to increase length.
