This lady is an incredible wild life warrior and cares for multiple animals. These goats are much less intrusive, noisy or smelly than any dog.

Goats are so mischievous I have hand raised kids and they become part of the family, love getting on top of kitchen table if given the opportunity. Miniatures would have trouble achieving that. I would love to own a pair the only problem would be protecting the garden which means electric fencing as goats love to eat anything aside from grass. They have very individual personalities and are really sneaky strong willed and intelligent who love being around people and being given affection.

Redlands is not inline with other animal details .i.e. number of dogs allowed however go just over the bridge at capalaba and Brisbane says 3. Hard to support moving into the area when there is no consistency with city councils.

There is no scientific justification to discriminate against goats therefore this should be changed immediately now that a real reason to has been highlighted. Given it's been Trish & her literal kids that have been affected to prompt this community protest, I'd like to share that this is a woman who is highly esteemed in our community. Not for her title or status, but for the love she devotes to this community & the animals here on our islands. On several occasions Trish has made herself available for rescue callouts at night when I've raised her from her bed. She is always on call. And she does so much on so many levels...from a smiling face that is a constant at our IGA to helping people find homes here on the islands. She is a doer & she is loved because of that & because of the how, because her how makes this world better. So I suggest the decision makers on this matter take a leaf from her book & use your discretion to make this world better for simply being in it. I also recommend tuning in to some Animals Australia, Edgar's Mission, our local Farm Animal Rescue, & a variety of farm sanctuaries clips depicting how incredible these animals can be. This will clearly demonstrate that we/authorities need to tune in & identify the people that need limits placed upon them for poor guardianship rather than goats themselves.

Miniature goats are basically just dogs, in size and in behaviour. They're friendly and don't cause any disturbance to the local area. Banning them on Russell Island is a cold-hearted and pointless act that helps nobody and protects nothing.

I would love to see people being allowed to have miniature goats as pets! How cool would it be...
