A vibrant downtown needs business more than is needs excessive parking. I've been in that garage many times and NEVER seen it even close to full.

No need for more parking. There needs to be more foot traffic. Mabey more retail stores downtown would help

We have too much parking and not enough shops. There is no way this should be allowed.

So much good has happened downtown lately...this latest decision is mind boggling! !!

I can't believe you would sneak a decision like this in a closed door meeting. You seem to want downtown to fail. Poor decision after poor decision. Then you want more parking when businesses need to flurish, and you don't even need more parking. I'm floored by this council. Wake up and listen to the people. Don't think of ideas yourself then make all of us and the future generations choke on your wrecking balls.

Improve public transportation downtown and remove parking spaces and you'll get a walk-able city center people will want to visit! Retail space (and incentives to encourage businesses to move downtown) will generate more income, excitement, and even just look nicer than a parking lot ever will!

Keep all retail space instead of more parking spots.

Downtown Windsor has a surplus of parking. If there’s a perception of a parking scarcity, or off-street parking/parking structures are perceived as overly expensive and hard to find, those are all problems that call for better marketing and better knowledge sharing of these parking areas...not destroying valuable retail space for an unneeded supply. Stop creating more parking and instead create more of the amenities that make Downtown Windsor more retail friendly, accessible, usable, and enjoyable for all walks of life. Bike lanes, bus transit, foot traffic and maybe a street car/trolley would be exciting additions to the core.....Downtown will be a retail mecca once again. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/save-pelissier-street https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwiK0DnzXXI

make it into a shopping and pedestrian area and give the shop keepers a break with their rents until the area does become a place to go

I absolute dispute the ground floor of the parking garage being made into parking. We do not need more parking in Windsor, we need more businesses to create jobs and attract visitors.
