Save Park Bridge

Our elderly parents live in Drumoak, we live in Durris. It is an absolute nightmare having to take the long way round to see them. It is so un-environmentally friendly the amount of extra miles we are doing every week

This is an essential link between our rural communities and should be be repaired/reopened as soon as possible

Save Park Bridge!!

As a resident and business owner of Drumoak the closure of the bridge is very concerning as it has a vital impact on our business. We need the bridge to reopen to save local businesses and our community.

With friends in the area and having used it myself over the years I understand what a vital link this is to the local people. It would result in a major detour for those visiting between Durris and Drumoak. It is also a very iconic bridge.

This link between the communities is absolutely essential for social and business purposes, and I completely agree re the carbon footprint.....surely we should be reducing this...not increasing it!

Park bridge is an essential link in our community. For the council to not keep/replace it would be an extremely short sighted approach to a much needed transport and community link in what is an ever expanding community.

This bridge is vital for our communities to be able to work closely. Many of the School activities, both day time and extra curricular are done at the Drumoak Setting (we are Durris) and this is detrimental to the links that have been formed already.

As a farrier in the local area I used this bridge almost daily. It’s actually a massive inconvenience to either have to go to Durris bridge or miltimber bridge as adds on extra time traveling between customers especially at busy times of the day. I really hope they fix it and open it again for the locals of Durris too.

This bridge is essential to the Community link of Drumoak and Durris and all the many groups, organisations and families that rely on it. Socially, environmentally and especially now the South side has lost its public transport.

I travel from Durris to Drumoak every day, sometimes twice a day, for my horses. An 8.4 mile round trip is now 15.2 miles and twice as long!

Local businesses are suffering. The carbon footprint of all residents is growing. This is breaking up two rural , well connected communities.

Needed for local community.

This bridge is an essential longstanding connection between two close communities. It prevents longer journeys with higher impact to environment.
