Save Park Bridge

This bridges is an essential community link that is used by a large number of the local community, tourists, commuters, businesses, cyclists, runners. Closing this bridge would be a major mistake and an absolute disgrace and Aberdeenshire Council have a duty to the communities, businesses, locals, tourists to repair this bridge and allow continued growth and development of Aberdeenshire. Everything must’ve done to keep this very important link route open open between the North and South of the river. Expecting people to divert to the Durris bridge or Milltimber bridge is not acceptable in any way. I strongly insist that this bridge must be repaired and kept open for many years to come. Its such an important bridge for the community but also for local businesses.. the 2 fishing beats (park fisheries and lower drum and upper durris fishings) are majorly impacted.. they cannot access both sides of the river without it being a major bit of travelling. It is putting guests off of coming to the beats to fish, which then impacts on other local business. I am sure if the owners of the beats were contacted they would be more than willing to put in a strong word to aid the petition.

We need the bridge it is something very special that’s been there a very long time

I am a Drumoak resident and believe this bridge needs saving for the community.

Miss this bridge so much. It has divided the community, the detours involved add on a huge mileage over time, and extra car use not good for the environment. I make a point of using Drumoypost office

The only road crossing between Durris and Milltimber bridges; why should it not be saved? Permanent closure would be madness!

This bridge is a vital link for both communities of Durris and Drumoak, the diversion is an extra 12 miles each day. Consider the time, cost and environmental for every user multiply by n? users and this becomes significant.

A vital link between communities living on the north and south banks of the River Dee which must be preserved for benefit of all.

Community should be nurtured not destroyed.

This bridge is used extensively by local residents. It's closure means not only inconvenience but high fuel wastage.

I'm confused, is this petition to restore the old bridge or build a new one in it's place?
