I believe the answer is not to shut down the lake at night rather enforce the current rules, posting signs and educating boaters. I have been boating pineview for 5 years and have never been made aware of a noise ordinance. If you start to enforce the current rules, ticketing individuals that are in violation, overtime the problem should fix itself, when there are financial consequences, people think twice. I believe there are other options that need to be looked at before enforcing such a rule. I know personally, my family will stop using Pineview if we aren't able to spend the night, which also means not using local gas stations and restaraunts around the area over the weekend. We are weekend boaters, not day trip boaters!

If local law enforcement actually enforced the laws, that already exist, we wouldn't have this problem. Start actually issuing tickets. More can be done. For example: Officers can write down the boat number of those, in trouble areas, or who are tied up along the beach, and warn them that if ANY trash is left, ALL will be issued tickets. The officers will have to make sure to check those locations periodically, however. It's not hard to do...trust me. Punishing the MAJORITY of boaters, for the actions of a FEW, and the lack of action, on law enforcemet's part...is unjustified.

It's time to stop punishing people for the actions of other people, I thought Utah was supposed to stand for freedom.

It's gotta be worth the drive getting up there for people to truly enjoy the outdoors and decompress from the grind

It's time that our boating community comes together with one voice not only to save overnight camping, but to help police our own. The problems are real and we can do better.

Unbelievable that this is an issue. Enforce the rules already in place. Don't let the actions of a few, ruin it for the rest of the respectable public that use this great resource.

Pineview Reservoir is the safest lake to camp on overnight for your children and everyone. The coves protect you from the wind and waves that can kill. We lost 4 people at Bear Lake last year because there is no where to hide from Mother Nature.
