Our family spends nearly every weekend staying on Pineview during the summer months. As others have said, there are a small group of boaters comprised of young adults who play loud music late at night. We usually steer clear of this group as we hate the competing loud music and the behavior that we don't want our kids to be around. As dedicated boaters, our group, comprised of most of the slip owners both at Port Ramp Marina and the yacht club, are the ones who are picking up the garbage leftover by the people that come down to the lake on foot during the day but don't stay overnight. Weber County does not have the financial resources or the manpower to police the loud noise late at night. Many of us would be willing to write down boat information of the offenders so they can be ticketed for breaking the 10:00 noise curfew. It would be helpful if this information was communicated better by the authorities. The few signs that are posted are not positioned in locations where the offenses take place. Perhaps soliciting the help of the employees who work at the gates and having them pass out information regarding the noise curfew would be helpful. People come from great distances to spend the weekend on Pineview on their boat. Forcing them to leave at 10:00 is impractical and will result in loss of income for many businesses in the area. Weber County is asking for problems-crowded boat ramps at night, impaired drivers going down Ogden Canyon towing a boat...if they don't have the manpower to police the lake at night, whose going police this chaos?

My son and I love camping in our boat on the water. I have first hand experience with the weber county Sheriff's Office, not wanting to do anything about a noise complaint, but having all the tools necessary to investigate the call with a boat in the water and a US Coast guard-approved Sheriff. Saying that he was too busy to respond to the complaint while he's sitting at Powder Mountain BSN with the employees at the shop around 10 p.m. if it's really that big of a problem they should get off their lazy butts and enforce the laws that are on the books. If they're unwilling to patrol the beach after Dark now what makes anybody think that a new ordinance is going to change anything. They still won't care. I understand the very limited number of people that live close to the beach want the best quality of life possible, but there building they're illegal trails that they have going from their waterfront properties. They knew that they were buying beachfront property and was going to experience noise from boats and people enjoying our public Reservoir. To take it away from the general public to me is unacceptable. Because a couple wealthy property owners decided that they don't like the sounds of boats and people. I think if anything should be done it should be a sign at the marinas stating that quiet hours are from 10 to 6. I boat at Pineview all the time and want my son to be able to enjoy the reservoir the same way I have growing up, camping in our boat on the water making family memories. The Summit Group have very large parties at their beach house every Saturday with cars racing up and down a quiet neighborhood Road, there is no police presence in the past 4 years upsetting their commercial parties and drunk driving tourist, but we want to take away camping on the lake from our local families, is ridiculous. They're just using this as another excuse to make more rules and laws that we don't need.

I've had memories since childhood staying out at the campsites around pineview and believe that none of that should change.

We spend most weekend nights camping on the water with our family in the summer. We enjoy the beauty and time connecting with our kids as well as the beautiful scenery. We have had several occasions where the "party boats" play loud, vulgar music late into the night. We call the police most of the time and sadly haven't ever had them address the offending boat. We agree that a hefty ticket issued (even just once!) would quickly eradicate the problem. Fishing can begin as early as 4:30 AM and skiing about 5 :30 AM. Most overnight boaters are down for the night by 10 PM after long days in the sun enjoying this great lake. The party boats are a small percentage of the responsible boaters. Please police them and allow the lake to remain open. *For the record, most of the boaters we see are good stewards and proud to take care of the lake.

I've been boating at Pineview for 25 years, my family, friends, and I enjoy boating overnight there. A lot of us overnight boaters are tired of the loud music all night and people leaving their trash around the lake just like those who live around the lake. So why should we be punished for something we don't do? I have a lot of money tied up in my boat and very much enjoy overnight stays at Pineview. If an overnight curfew is put in place it would force the sale of my boat.

Though some people are reckless. This place is great for camping night fishing relaxing. The law should not have a curfew on places we may need at times in our lives. We love this. If you do this it will be a strike against everyone in the community. This is dumb and ridiculous.

I have been going to Pineview lake for almost 20 yrs now. We like to camp in our cruiser during the summer months. We just stay there on weekends and we love wakeboarding and fishing. The majority of boaters are very responsible people and they do not leave trash behind them. As a matter of fact somtimes we clean trash left by non boaters. In addition, boaters like to stay away from the shore at night, because it is more safe on the water and there is less of a chance to damage their boats. There are a handfull of boaters that like loud music, but educate those people, and use fines if needed. Some of those people might be new, some might be from outside the state, and might not know the rules. Post signs at the marine and explain the rules and penalties. In addition, provide better training for officers, more resources, and better surveilance, as well as better equipment for them. Hire more part time officers to work during weeknds if needed. I am positive that we have lots of good and well trainded officers that can patrol the lake if needed. Shutting down the lake at night is not a solution it is a punishment for responsible boaters and fishermans. There are not enough slips at the lake to accomodate all boaters to stay there overnight. So many would have to leave the lake at the end of day which could cause even more issues such as accidents. In addition, even if there were enough slips, this would not resolve any issues. While in the slip people can still turn their music up. If the lake gets closed at night people will just go to other lakes. There will be a great revenue loss to Huntsville. Lots of boaters buy food, gasoline, and other things in Huntsville. Also, lots of boaters store their boats in Huntsville. So if they go somwhere else, the money goes with them. The lake should really stay open at night. There are so many ways to address these current issues so that boaters, fishermans and locals all get satisfied. After all we all go there to rel

Law enforcement should patrol the lake better and not make all of us suffer!!!

This issue is due to ignorant people building a house next to a recreational lake and complaining about the noise. We should remove quiet hour while we at it.

I would just say let them if they put trash in the water or on the Beach's that they will have a huge fine to pay even possible jail time
