I agree with a lot of the comments made regarding these unacceptable closures. Nobody has bothered to do things for the north end until dr mantgani and his team started bringing quality services here. Now somebody is pulling the plug on this first class service. What is the council doing about it ? They have recently done a joint deal with the CCG, doesn’t it mean they can stop this stupid proposal from going forward. People in this area will not accept if the service at Miriam is not available .

the people of Birkenhead need their urgent care free at the point of use in a place that is accessible and safe . traveling to APH for urgent and immediate care does not for fill this requirement and is a backward step.
I would welcome any additional services being offered but not at the expense of existing services that are based locally.
APH was built without transport being fully considered and this is a massive flaw in the provision of urgent care on Wirral .
The nearest hospital for many in Birkenhead is the Royal in Liverpool and we all know the problems involved with that at the moment .
The options being presented by the CCG are cost based instead of medically based . There should not be a financial cap on increasing medical provision for the people of Birkenhead.
The CCG say the need is growing as people live longer but are also saying we can not spend any more money meeting this need , I say we can and we will find the money to care for our people if you cant let somebody like Jeremy Corbyn do it.
Our NHS should be properly funded and the staff properly looked after.
We are sick of the Tories telling us we haven't got enough money and then giving tax breaks to the wealthy I say find the money or get out and let a Labour Government find the money because they will.
Through Tory Austerity we have seen our council services decimated this has caused more pressure on the NHS through family breakdowns and an increase in poverty. We need to have an economic system in Birkenhead that benefits the many.
I will not see our NHS turned into an insurance led American system where people die if they cant afford medical attention, that is taking us back to the times of Charles Dickens and the work house.
Medical progression is a gift given to us by those who have been, many of whom were slaughter on the battle fields of Northern Europe in the second world war I will not take one step back and allow our NHS to become fragmented and sold off to the priva

Why would you close a vital service for the people of Birkenhead. Doesnt make any sense. Arrow Park is already stretched.

As a mother of three including a child with a chronic illness, this is a vital service. We have used the Miriam Centre when not wanting to join the crowds at Arrowe Park a and e which is a horrible experience we all dread when have to take an ill person there as they cannot cope or provide a service in acceptable timeframe especially when it comes to children. If the Miriam Centre is taken away from the people who rely on it and can’t all get to Arrowe Park Hospital, the already joke of car park and traffic there will be disastrous and the effect on waiting time can only cause more problems than Arrowe Park a and e has already. I have had to use both for various reasons with my children and various family members and as cuts are taking so much away from us (local swings in parks/ cuts to library services, refuse collection and more), this is a service the people of Wirral CANNOT do without.

If the walk in centre closes it will affect those dependant on prescription and caused logistical problems since the nearest hospital is across the river

It would be a tragedy to lose our walk in centres. Centralised emergency care at Arrowe Park would cause more congestion. It's already virtually impossible to park there.

I for one am tired of being targeted and discriminated against just because I do not live in an affluent area, I pay taxes and contribute to society so I why am I being reduced to a second class quality of life and resources? It was hard enough when GPs started to turn us away but we at least had the walk in centres, I know it may sound dramatic but this is starting to look like population control, be interesting to see how the stats for deaths is looking in 12 months. This is just so sad and as per usual nothing is done about it as this neoliberal minimalist government protects the few, They are taking advantage and we just let it happen, so sad.

Please please do not close our walk-in we would be totally lost without them so much. The staff that work in these places are marvellous.
