The walk in's release some pressure from doctors surgeries and hospital waiting rooms. They have been a "godsend' since they first opened.

My local walk in centre has been invaluable to us and is much easier than trekking all the way to Arrowe Park for non emergency out of hours issues

Everyone cannot get to Arrowe Park. With the collapse of Avon buses we have no way to get there and many people, especially the elderly do not have cars.

this is a truly sickening and disgusting decision - based purely on short sightednesss, conceit and ignorance. Not everybody can travel to one centralised location and to say nothing of the expense of public transport access and pollution this causes through unnecessary car journeys already clogging up our roads as it is. Just how idiotic are these petty bean counters who make these hare brained decisions. they clearly do not live in the real world.

Closing local walk-in facilities and improve APH to accomodate the closures would be suicidal. Parking at the hospital is a nightmare all day, everyday. Improvement would be welcome at the hosp but you'd need a multi-storey car park to accomodate extra traffic and to be honest, it needs one now based on current traffic - imagine the increase if you closed local walk-ins. How about improving local walk-in centres instead so they can take the pressure from APH.
