We, the undersigned landowners hereby oppose AT&T's cell phone tower expansion plan filed as Permit # P16CU00008 located at 4201 E Skyline Drive, Tucson, AZ 85718 for the following reasons:

1) It obstructs the views of the surrounding landowners.

2) It creates an eyesore for the surrounding landowners.

3) It creates noise pollution for the surrounding landowners.

4) It creates a potential safety hazard for surrounding landowners from a) heavy equipment using a privately maintained road that is already in poor condition and b) the potential for a fallen tower to slide down the steep slope onto neighboring property

5) It interferes with the prior rights and enjoyment of the surrounding landowners.

6) It does not conform to the natural and aesthetic surroundings of the area.

7) It stretches beyond the limits of anticipated land use planning, zoning and CC&Rs already established in that area.

8) It interferes with potential wildlife habitats in the area,

9) It reduces the real estate marketability and property values for the surrounding landowners.

10) The plan does not provide the least intrusive alternative for surrounding landowners (Please see AT&T's abandoned alternative plan filed with the county in 2013).

11) It therefore creates a public and private nuisance for the surrounding landowners.

The undersigned therefore requests the Board of Supervisions and hearing officers: oppose approval of the plan.

Updates

October 26, 2016

I have been spending my evenings reviewing the county planning documents and preparing our formal response regarding the slope safety concerns. Seeing so many neighbors speak up about our quiet hillside gives me real hope that we can keep this area protected.

October 26, 2016

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that I am not the only neighbor worried about our quiet hillside being destroyed by this tower. My home and my peace of mind mean too much to let this project go forward without a fight.

This is a terrible idea. These huge plastic looking saguaros would block our beautiful views and it's unnecessary. Keep them away.

I have lived in this subdivision for nearly 30 years and oppose these cell towers for reasons of aesthetics and property value issues.

Do not put plastic saguaros up in our view with cell towers. There are better alternatives and once these go up they will not be coming down!!

This property owner is and has been in clear violation of the CC&Rs applicable to all lots within the subdivision. In the 1970's this property owner won a lawsuit lodged by the HOA because of the high profile of the home structure. The HOA lost and had to file for bankruptcy. This lot owner has prevailed in secrecy from the start and should be taken to task in a lawsuit by the HOA. Why not??

I am very much opposed to these cell towers for the reasons stipulated in the petition. There are over 500 lots in Coronado Foothills Estates, many of which would be impacted by the towers and the associated equipment. As a realtor who lives and works in the Foothills, I believe that property values -- particularly those in the adjacent lots or those in which the towers are visible -- would be severely impacted.

Ugly eye sore, and possible health hazard for the community. As the resident will certainly profit, at our expense, it violates the no commercial clause intent. The foot in the door present transmission system is not justification for compounded transgression.

Don't ruin our neighborhood with unnecessary commercial structures!
