I am totally against removing this tree it's been there a long time and nothing wrong with it. Bad enough that someone has poisoned the two large gum trees on the corner of Damon st and the walkway.

Seriously....if it is a healthy tree leave it be, if the tree is deemed a hazard because it dying or rotting away then yes it needs to go.

Honestly! Sometimes certain people at Council make the dumbest decisions. Please leave the tree there and work around it, it will be welcomed by the visitors and has a right to continue living and providing the habitat, beauty and protection that it has for sooo long!

Why would you cut down a tree that has been their for long time providing a home for many birds and other animals, not forgetting the shade it provides for people to enjoy. These trees take decades to grow.

When will people learn that our animals need shade and homes. To destroy such a beautiful tree and the environment is tragic.

This beautiful tree shouldn't be cut down if lopping is the solution.

Keep the tree, for nature, and caravan park visitors who will enjoy it as part of their stay.

So important to keep trees for so many reasons, when are people going to realise that everything in nature is there for a purpose, stop putting profits before nature. I realise it is the way of the world to think that it’s just “one” tree, but one tree was once many trees, as we see in the devastation in our forests. I agree wholeheartedly to keep this tree and every other tree that provides our birds and other wildlife their natural habitat.
