"Worst decision they have ever made!" My response to the board's decision to terminate Superintendent Jon Fernandez's contract. This man has done so much for the department and even more for the future of Guam. I stand by my Sup!

Guam public schools and the children on Guam need the leadership and the commitment to raise higher standards that Jon Fernandez has brought. I believe that it is very noble for a Guam native to return back home (from being on the mainland) and contribute to the community, and to one of the most important, which are the children & public schools.

He has was the only superintendent to visit schools and he has made the greatest impact in the public school systems. If the board was smart they would reinstate Mr. Fernandez and if they deny the request they know they will look bad for saying no to us students , if they ignore our concerns then they really don't care about our opinions and concerns. Thank you !

He deserves to be reinstated. He's the best & only superintendent that all public school students look up to. I don't think they'll ever find someone like him. So why start over?

I don't even have kids or grandkids attending DOE but because I see positive things happening for the students, I am giving them the support they need to have someone backing them and that will be Mr. Jon Fernendez!

My kids don't even go to public school. But I know that this was a wrongful termination.
