The state has officially reversed the proposed budget cuts and restored our school funding. I am deeply thankful for the persistence that brought us to this outcome. We must remain attentive to future policy changes to ensure our students continue to receive the support they deserve.

Final supporters
Currently schools are losing their busing so a large percentage of children will not be able to get to their current school. Cutting bus transportation will substantially eliminate the cultural and educational diversity in successful magnet schools. This violates federal desegregation orders and interferes with California's constitutional guarantee that all students receive a free and equitable education.
On top of that, some schools are losing Federal funds set aside for economically disadvantaged children - Title 1 funds - monies that can make up 90% of a school's budget, leaving schools devastated and unable to function.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens and avid supporters of public schools. Through these economically challenging times, we cannot lose sight of the students, our children. They are the future and it is our responsibility to step in and stop political interests from penalizing them. We must realize that the education that is taken away today will affect America tomorrow. We urge our leaders to block these cuts and save middle class education.

Education is not a luxury. Its sad we even have to ask for this. Keep the funding where it belongs.
How are these kids supposed to get to class without the bus? My neighbor works 2 jobs and relies on that bus to get her daughter to school. Totally unfair.
These kids deserve better than this. Stop taking away their future to balance some stupid budget.
My kids school is already falling apart because they cant even afford supplies. Now no buses? This is absolute madness.
Ridiculous waste of money everywhere else but they cut the schools first. Every single time. Fix this mess.

STOP CUTTING THE SCHOOLS
