I'm sitting and working in the cafe right now. I just looked up and saw an early morning commuter picking up her mobile order. As she hurried out, she paused to make some happy faces and wave at a baby in a stroller. The baby's mother was busy putting the lid on her coffee and didn't notice. It was just between the commuter and the baby.
As the petition says, some of our regulars are neurodiverse. I think they would be shy to go into the smaller, more niche stores in our neighbourhood. Sometimes I see one of those regulars chatting with some schoolkids who come in here. I grew up in a small rural place where it was normal for people of different ages and abilities to mix together. City spaces tend to be segregated in ways that many Torontonians don't realize. This Hillcrest cafe reminds me more of home.

I'm still relatively new to the neighborhood but what I love about this location is that it feels like it's a part of the community. It's nice to be from somewhere else and feel at home. The people here are very much a part of the community and they welcome everyone with open arms. It's my favorite location in the city and I'd hate to see it go. Please don't close our store.

This location is my morning stop for coffee before work. I always try to give myself at least a half an hour to sit with my knitting or reading, and sip my drink before heading into my own customer service job, so that I can start my day with a calm, refreshed mind. The staff are wonderful and friendly, and I don't know what I'll do if this location closes. There is no other cafe in the neighbourhood that has the space, warmth, and sense of community.

Please, keep Starbucks open. It is our second home, an institution in our neighborhood. Without this Starbucks, the values of our homes and our lifestyles will be irreversibly altered. Thank you!

Hey there I am a student at winona sr public school.I am very disappointed that this Starbucks location is closing for many different reasons. I always go here for lunch because there is a variety of options I refuse to go anywhere else so please for the sake of me and everyone else at winona do not close the Starbucks.we love this location they are so polite. This is also the closest Starbucks location to my house in walking distance.Let me just say that I LOVE STARBUCKS. I cried when I found out this was gonna close I love Starbucks and now I won’t get it everyday and that makes me upset and I will never get to go . I will only get Starbucks once a month . If u don’t close down u will make more money because I will go there every day. So please don’t close down I will be very upset and depressed.

Thinking about closing this location makes no sense. It is close to Wychwood Barns Park for header there after the park (and before and during!). Right across from Rocket Cycle (whose patrons head there continuously). Not to mention the many people in the community that have called this Starbucks "theirs".
...In closing: DON'T CLOSE!

Please don't close this starbucks! I have very warm memories of bringing my first baby here because it was the only place on the st. clair west strip with a changing table in the bathroom. It is now a go to for my family after afternoons at Wychwood barns park for drinks and cake pops for my two girls.

The best staff- always friendly and nice conversations. It's the only location I go because it feels like it's part of the neighbourhood.

I love being able to wander over to this location to work. It is more spacious and less "commuter"-y than the bathurst and st clair location, I personally love the playlists they have when I go in, and the staff is always so kind and efficient. It's great to see how well they work together, like a well-oiled machine. A lot of customers know the staff by name, and the staff know a lot of the customers by name. These dynamics are part of what makes a community in the city. It is undoubtedly distinguishable from other nearby locations, and it would be a shame to see this location close.

I go here every day. This is an important community hub, meeting space and part of the routine for many families in the community. Seems like a huge, thoughtless mistake to close it down.

I urge you to consider alternative closings of less community based locations to fulfill the corporate goal.
Besides, it is likely one of your competitors will see an opportunity to take advantage of the loyal cafe crowd of this tight knit community.

This really does sum it up!
I’ve spent literally countless hours at this Starbucks location writing and have met a large number of other writers just by sitting, working, meeting and chatting.
A running joke for the 9am-noon crowd is that I am the mayor of this Starbucks. And as mayor, I know I speak for my people when I say- please don’t close our store!
This place has real heart and I simply don’t have the space in my home to move in all the baristas I’ve come to know and love who have diligently made my perfect drink day after day after day.
Please do reconsider this decision.
My three year old is devastated that he will no longer be able to get his Saturday morning egg bites.
Think of the children!
Okay, I’m done.
Ps- please don’t close
