By now we all saw the email this morning that Oshawa Minor as usual did not listen to its members and went ahead with the appointment of Tim Scott as coach, It is a fact that dozens of emails of support for our current staff and against this replacement were sent to the board and as usual Oshawa did nothing. Friends in high places pays off again.
I know for a certainty that I am not the only parent who conveyed to the board that my son will be playing down a level next year if this stays in place. Our kids have barely had a hockey season together yet and my son has clearly benefited from the encouragement and time that Dave Truelove and Chris Ferguson put into our young athletes, This is not the type of coach that out children need, I know that almost every parent on this team voiced these concerns to Jim Jackson, Lynn Jennings and the board and that we should be able to have at least 90% support on this. They cant deny paying members of an association when this is put in front of them.
I've heard many stories of the politics in hockey therefore I wont be putting out there who started this petition in fear of retaliatory cuts but its been something discussed for a few days now, and once we have all this support I will gladly put this towards the correct people.
Give our existing staff a chance to continue the work they put into this!

Chris Ferguson and Dave Truelove deserve to be part of the coaching staff of this team. They have been working with these kids for the last 3 years. Changing the complete coaching staff will only slow down the development of these kids.

What a complete embarrassment this is. We are a team and this is what we have come too? We are now going to divide our team and/or bully others into it fearing our child wont make the team? I cant believe this. What the hell have the coaches been teaching our kids for 3 years? Hold you head up high and be proud even when you lose. Why are we showing our kids to now stomp our feet when we lose. Let's all come together and make the best of this as I believe in giving people chances. Let's be that amazing, strong knit, fun team we have always been.
Can't wait to see all the haters in line to kiss his ass to get on the team come tryouts tho.....lol

Another great practice tonight. Ferguson apparently coached at both pods just to help out with his kid home sick. Thats a coach

I highly encourage you to reconsider Chris and Dave as coaching staff. They are incredible at empowering them, understand their unique talents and strengths and have a strong bonds with each and every one of those young players. There is no logic to changing the coaching staff at this point, which will surely lead to a less than favourable results and impact the hockey experience of those boys.
