The Save our Slipway group has established a petition to Save our Slipway at RBYC.

We are collecting signatures from members who support our proposal to submit to General Committee to demonstrate the membership’s desire for the slipway and yard services to be maintained until an alternative haul-out system is established at RBYC.

Honorary Treasurer Malcolm Mitchell, has presented a quotation to repair our slipway at $311,000.00 approx. Compare this with the demolition costs estimated at $250,000 plus foreshore reparation, yard redevelopment cost, legal fees and reimbursement costs to lessee contractor. These further costs could exceed one million dollars.

Repairing our slipway is the most viable option until an alternate haul-out system is established at RBYC.
