THE SILETZ RIVER IS DYING:

• That means we are all slowly dying. We depend on the Siletz for the water we drink, the air we breathe, the fish and wildlife that are such an essential part of this land that we love. All are being poisoned without our consent. This is happening in many ways, including the spreading of toxic sewage sludge on our soil, often very close to the river. We, the people, have the power to stop this. We demand an immediate halt to the application of toxic sludge (aka biosolids) to any soil within the Siletz Watershed and on any other soil in Lincoln County. There are better, less expensive, and far less harmful ways to dispose of this waste and we demand that our local representatives who have the power to change this do so—NOW.
