Our Shyampur 1 & 2 Block area is surrounded by three rivers Hoogly-river, Rupnarayan river and Damodar river. Somewhere rivers embankment areas are found dangerously damaged due to heavy rainfall and abnormal tides. Irrigation Department of the West Bengal State Government is responsible for maintenance the riverbank. But their activities are very negligible to save the lives and properties of the nearby villages of the river. Therefor, we prayer your support for them.
