Me and my girl's try to ride the scooters every Sunday afternoon. Its one of our favorite things to do as a family and to enjoy being out side with fresh air. I REALLY hope they dont take them away. It would be such a shame !!

The City seems to be intent on undermining the growth of our City and their own rebranding efforts by harassing businesses who are actually benefiting our image, and creating (or ignoring) impediments that diminish our reputation and draw.
Scooters have proven to be an excellent draw for tourists and day trippers in other Cities. St. Pete has even created scooter parking zones.
Sitting at a sidewalk cafe during my last visit there, we watched people on scooters and one wheels riding in traffic usung the vehicles for commuting to work as well as play. In addition to being a fun way to experience a new City, these vehicles open up so many opportunities for people who don't want or can't afford the expense of owning a car.
Whenever I mention that we have acooter rentals available in town the response is pretty much the same, "How cool is that!? What a great place to live!"
If council would put as much effort into pressuring nuisance bar owners to leave town as they do to push out beneficial businesses, we might finally have the town the rest of us have been working so hard to create.
When council goes to vote on this ssue, I ask that they remember that they were elected to be the voice of the people who want growth, change, and vibrancy... not crap bars that draw dangerous crowds and require a constant police presence. Put your efforts into pushing those businesses out and let this business owner continue contributing to the new image everyone is trying so desperately to create.
Harassing beneficial businesses is a sure sign to the others that this City does not stand behind its downtown economic core and is not willing to do what is necessary to foster an environment conducive to better quality and more diverse businesses.

My teenagers talked me into renting these and trying it out. I had a blast connecting with them in something they enjoy and we had so much fun exploring the downtown area. They have asked again for us to go spend the afternoon down there. We don't usually go down there as we don't have a "reason" to but while there doing scooters we enjoyed lunch and ice cream. Please let this great business stay.

New Port Richey needs this kind of activity. Why take it away now when you approved it in tge first place.

Why it brings business to the area point blank think about it. I come from Detroit and that’s what brought back Detroit is little companies trying to make a living the American dream just wow hope this helps out my friend

These scooters make me smile each time I drive by or see someone riding them around. If safety is the concern, the best way to create a culture of pedestrian and small vehicle safety is to have them present - cohabitation. As the park, playground, and other family centered establishments develop; the expectation of safety precautions and build out will also need to develop and be implemented.
