We don't need another empty school. We need the Catholic Schools to stay alive. There must be a way to encourage more enrollments.

Immaculate Conception has been a staple in my life. I went to preschool there as well as CCD and church for majority of my life. Such a wonderful school, it would be a shame if it closed.

the most beautiful school! everyone deserves to be able to experience the wonderful Catholic education that Immaculate Conception provides! It would be a disservice to the community for the school to close.

As a retired teacher of IC it breaks my heart to see what was once a thriving school community become obsolete. The dedicated staff, some of whom are continuing to do so, worked tirelessly to make the school flourish in a loving, nurturing environment. The goal should be to bring back that caliber of staff and administration, whose only priority is to foster the success of the school. With such qualified people, current school curriculum and extra curricula activities IC should return to the prestigious, Catholic school it once was. Please try your best to accomplish this.

I am a proud member of the Class of ‘91. ICS Parish and School— together— make for an AMAZING community. Together, they “are” Spotswood. I met my best friends there in class, extracurriculars, sports, and of course our First Friday and other special Masses. My father donated 9 years to the school, becoming president of the ICYO. My Mom was president of the PTA. My parents met their closest friends through the activities of Immaculate Conception “School”— like me— in a way that would not have occurred if the Parish were only composed of our beloved Church. ICS is an immersive community exactly because the Parish has the school.. My first very first community turned out to be the greatest I’d ever know. Please reevaluate this matter and acknowledge that ICS’s rich heritage, and the glue it provides to Spotswood (far greater than that of other Churches and municipal organizations), has tremendous value and can be the backbone of what can make it great again and thrive once more. I will share this with all of my classmates. We will band together to help now that we know our childhood and spiritual home is threatened. We— those that have spent significant chunks of our lives there— do not need ICS to disappear to understand it’s value. I hope the Diocese can find it’s way to the same understanding. Thank you.
