I believe the free period that I have are very efficient for my packed schedule. I take all honors classes and come home with an overload of work. In addition, to this I take softball as a sport 3 times a week for 2 hours a night. I also, go to yachad every Tuesday that I can. I use my free periods during the day to lessen my my work load before I go home in order for me to continue doing the extra curricular activities I love to do.

Please don't take away free periods. They are part of a high school experience and I get my work done during them!

Free period are extremely important for us. It is almost impossible for people who live on the other side of town like me, to finish their homework before 1am. Imagine needing to stay up until 2am studying and doing work and waking up the next morning at 6:30m to be able to get to school by 7:45- if we're lucky. These free periods are so helpful I can't stress enough, there may be times here and there where girls are just relaxing and that is necessary at times to bond with friends. Especially when we are involved in extra curricular and we don't get home until later. For example on Tuesday after school, I had softball right after school until 7 and then I had yachad event until 8 and at 8:30 I had to be at a bnei akiva meeting/learning. Living on the other side of town I didn't get home until 11:30. I didn't start homework and I had a chemistry test first period in the morning. Please!! We need these free periods.

I live in the valley and wake up everyday at 5:30. I get home around 6 most days and the only way I get all my work done is because of free periods. Without free periods I would not be getting any sleep. In order to get enough sleep and try to have good grades, I need free periods to do homework and study.
