we need free periods!! #savetheblock let us have a voice

the new schedule idea will just end in the school losing half of its students. just because some students may have a few more free periods than necessary, that doesn't mean that everyone else should have none. the free periods aren't used to joke around or do whatever, we use them to get work done so that we can continue to do well in school without passing out from exhaustion from being up too late doing work that we might've been able to start in school. the free periods let us make up missed tests, get work done, meet w teachers, etc. without them, students will be too scared to miss school even when sick for fear of missing tests or important classes, students won't be able to do as well in school from stress, and so many people would leave the school, taking away most of the school's profit. all of us love the block schedule, and the vast majority of us find it perfect.

Please don't take our free periods away. We rely on them to do as much work as possible and we really need them. The schedule is amazing and everyday it's something new and different every day. Please don't get rid of them

Please i do not think anyone understands the value of free periods and our block schedule. the unique 8 day schedule helps us learn and spread out our classes to make us excel in learning WE NEED SUPPORT WE NEED HELP PLEASE SAVE THE BLOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every grade in YULA loves it because it allows us to do extra curricular and other activities in our own life. WE THINK THAT THE STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE A VOICE. The free periods give me a chance to destress, talk to teachers, make meetings with them, and work on my homework so that when I get home I don't have as much to do and it leaves me time to do ACT prep. We're in school for 9 hours a day, and we need time besides 25 minutes for lunch and 10 minutes during breakfast to eat, recharge, and prepare ourselves for the next class to fully soak in all the information we are about to learn. Bombarding us with classes without any breaks in between is not a good idea, and I don't think it should be implemented.

I love free periods! It allows me to do my homework and have a break between classes.

I love my block schedule don't want to get rid of it

Coming from someone who does extra curriculars, we need these periods to catch up on work and meet with teachers when extra help is needed. If the free periods are going to be taken away, many students will be falling behind and struggling to understand what is going on in their classes. WE NEED OUR FREE PERIODS #SAVETHEBLOCK

Students need these free periods especially when they do extra curriculum they can do there work during the free periods, speaking from experience I always do sports and get home late every night like around 7. If I didn't have these free period to do my work I would probably be failing most my classes. Also since we have so many classes students get extremely overwhelmed (again speaking from experience) and can't handle all of it.

I completely agree with this statement. Free periods and the block schedule originally provided are crucial to enhance the success of the Yula students' high school career.

Free periods have been the most amazing addition to my school experience. Coming from an elementary school where we didn't have any was a big and great change!! It helps me get my work done and still have time to be with my family. It is especially important for me because the free periods give me time to meet with teachers, make up test and get my homework done. If I have 4 tests in a week my free periods would help me get my homework done so when I get home I can focus on acing those tests. #savetheblock

Since I do sports everyday I come home at 8 and never have time to do my homework. I try and do most of my homework during my free periods so its easier for me. Free periods really help me get my stuff done please don't take them away. Because of all these free periods I get to do my homework and when I come home i am able to have more free time and more time to study for all my tests and focus on all the other things. Free periods are very beneficial it would only make things worse if they are to be taken away.
