Save Our Redlynch Community

Large blocks with med to higher value would be far more acceptable. Another Northpoint ghetto is not welcome in Redlynch Valley.

This subdivision does not complement the suburb....residents choose to live in this area for its rural surrounds, and though we may not all live on the local acreages - we enjoy the greenery and space they provide us visually. Small housing blocks of this size do not suit the aesthetics of the area, have the potential to negatively impact land and re-sale values of our properties. I believe council should only consider subdivisions in this area where lots are a minimum 800sqm, and I am against blocks of this size being approved as it has the potential to set a precedent for future subdivisions. Our suburb still has a lot of undeveloped land for potential subdivision so I fail to see why we need to reduce land sizes for this development.

Small lots, lack of community infrastructure, doesn't fit in with the overall community design of the suburb, potential water displacement in areas further down stream from increased run off, environmental effects on dreams heater creek. Not to mention it is damn ugly.

Please don't ruin our valley.

Simply too many houses in too small a site, no other socio economic cr*p, the road cannot take it there.

There is no excuse for such tiny blocks! It is bad enough watching Lego land popping up around us but please not in my backyard! The infrastructure as is doesn't cope with what's already here now !! Shame on the powers that be for allowing the demise of beautiful countryside and agricultural land, rant ended !!

The unsustainable influx of housing on an already struggling infastructure not to mention loss of sense of place and zoning on a wildlife corridor are just a number of reasons why this proposal should never of been approved.

Same thing happened to our small town in the UK and the schools, emergency services and environment was not equipped to cope with such a big influx of houses.

Keep this area in line with its neighbours. We need more larger blocks.

No more medium to high density housing in Redlynch!!!!!

Redlynch Valley was a beautiful natural area. It is not the place for high density housing and the associated problems which will follow. It is bad enough that you have already approved the existing sub-division, please do not add to your mistake by increasing the number of blocks.

Please no!!! Extra pressure being added to the already overwhelmed infrastructure. Single lane access road, two schools filled to capacity with no parking available, telecommunications network that already has residents on up to 12 month waiting lists for access to internet services, electricity network that can't cope with the current load, limited community services, no public transport and so on and so on. If this is zoned rural residential how on earth was a high density development like this approved? Atrocious. There has been no thought for the current community - how will this affect the schools, the residents, the services, the environment? Purely a greed grab. Heartbreaking and disappointing :(

Stop the environmental vandalism

My understanding of the decision stage of the development application process is that the Assessment Manager must; assess the application against all relevant state, regional and local planning legislation, consider the purpose of all relevant codes; and consider all submissions made with the public notification period. What I don’t understand is why have this process in place when it can so easily be overturned? This application clearly is in conflict with 3 local councils codes one of which is Flood Management. If the purpose of flood overlay code is to increase our understanding of how floods behave and to provide a useful tool when planning new development, why would council approve an application that allows a new subdivision to be constructed in a known flood prone area? Maybe it’s time for all council members to read and understand all the relevant Building & Planning Schemes so they are able to make informed decisions based on facts.

Keep Redlynch peaceful and the trash out of here I've lived my whole 27 years l here on our cane farm and saddens me to see this happen

This is rediculous! 3-500m2 blocks will turn Redlynch into a hellhole like Forest Gardens. This reason why we live here is to get away from the stupidity of high density living!

I reside in Redlynch valley for lifestyle and esethetic reasons. I strongly object to a local compact sub-division within my locality!

Ridiculous amount of development without any thoughts of infrastructure.

Space for our children
