New suburbs need to be well planned and have the infrastructure that can cope with the additional load. The suburb should also fit in with the existing suburbs land sizes and housing quality to ensure that the existing residents home values are not adversely affected. This area already has issues with traffic, water pressure problems, power fluctuations and telephone exchange congestion. Why is council planning to add to the existing problems?

To place so many tiny box houses in such close proximity to schools that are already full is simply irresponsible.
I would also like to know who is footing the bill for the obvious and massive increase in infrastructure, bet your bottom dollar it won't be the profit before integrity developer.

Redlynch wouldn't be the same if this block of land goes up. The valley won't be the same and same as the people that live behind the shopping centre. I dont think this is a good idea at all to have this block of land.

Redlynch used to be a nice place to live - then suburbia happened all over the place.
This development will only add to the over population of the area and cause more traffic headaches each and every day!!

The reason we moved to Redlynch was for the rural aspect not postage stamp developments. One road in one road out highly flood prone, makes no sense to me.

Add another 100 homes to the already strained infrastructure and council will have to tank in water by truck

Lego houses less than reaching-distance apart are an eyesore and it would be a terrible shame to build these in place of what already exists. Cairns has a beautiful backdrop incomparable to many Australian towns and the development of mass housing estates is slowly but surely tearing this backdrop down.

Fully agree. Too much too soon without infrastructure. For semi rural area traffic is struggling now at certain times.
